These issues are something we hear ALL the time at Volunteer Audio, so we are here to give you a sound experience you will be blown away with! This package will allow you to keep your factory radio when upgrading your sound system, but it will require a flash in order to get the full potential out of your amplifier and speakers so your music will be loud and clear up to 100 mph!

Can I really hear rear speakers when I add them to my bike? We get this question ALL the time at Volunteer Audio, so we want to answer the question once and for all…YES of course you can hear the rear speakers when they are added. When you purchase from Volunteer Audio we do several things to make sure you can hear your rear speakers:

• When installing 6×9” we use cut in kits which position the speaker higher in the lid which takes up less room in your bag and also angles the speaker toward you so you can hear the speaker better. Most replacement lids do not do these things.
• We properly power the rear speakers so they are loud enough to hear even when they are behind you.
• When using a factory radio after flashing the radio you will lose fader, we take that into account and fade our amplifier settings slightly to the rear.

We know that the rear speakers won’t overpower the front speakers because the front speakers are pointing directly at you, of course they will be louder, but the rear speakers give you a more full sound that surrounds you. Which gives you a concert feeling and also gives added mid-bass.

This Volunteer Audio Stage 4 amplifier and speaker system includes your choice of a perfectly paired prewired amplifier, 1 pair of upper fairing speakers and 1 pair of 6×9 speakers. This combination is a perfect match for the environment of your Harley Davidson. The amplifier is a compact amplifier that is IP64 rated so you do not have to worry about moisture, the Precision Power speakers also have weather-resistant cones that will stand up to any moisture that comes their way.

At Volunteer Audio we work hard so you don’t have to. We make it easy for you to add an amazing sound system to your bike by completing all the prep work here. When we send this kit to you it is as close to finished as we can possibly get it so you just have to install it. We will have all the gains and filters set on the amplifier so you do not have to know how to set the adjustments. All you will have to do is mount the amplifier with provided mounting hardware, run the provided wiring to under the seat and to battery and then install the speakers. We have step by step videos showing how to complete each step of this process and also offer lifetime tech support on items purchased from us.

SoundStream Reserve HDHU.9813SG: The HDHU.9813SG is an upgraded, aftermarket digital multimedia receiver for select 1998-2013 Harley Davidson motorcycles. The HDHU.9813SG installs in the factory OEM radio location with the factory brackets and mounting hardware from the factory radio, maintaining a “factory-look” without the need for a separate installation kit. The included wiring harness plugs the HDHU.9813SG receiver directly into the motorcycle’s factory radio wiring harness for a simple connection without the need to crimp or solder. The HDHU.9813SG also utilizes the factory OEM radio antenna by simply connecting the factory antenna cable to the Motorola antenna connector on back of the receiver. In addition, the HDHU.9813SG features a rear-panel USB-A port that can be installed on the motorcycle. Compatible Harley Davidson Motorcycles include –

IPX5-Rated: Exceeding expectations, HDHU.9813SG was subjected to testing above and beyond industry standards, proving its suitability in harsh riding conditions for long-term use. As a result, HDHU.9813SG earned an Ingress Protection (IP) water-resistant rating of IPX5, protecting itself from practically any weather condition you’ll ride in, even after a quick trip to the bike wash. Important factors like an optically bonded LCD screen, sonically welded ABS assemblies, conformal coated circuits, silicone gaskets, as well as UV protection ensure the HDHU.9813SG performs reliably for years to come.

7″ Capacitive Touchscreen: The HDHU.9813SG features a fixed 7″ capacitive touchscreen LCD monitor. The screen has a resolution of 1024 x 600 (614,400 total pixels). The capacitive touchscreen provides a high contrast ratio, crystal clear display, and vivid text; as well as highly responsive touchscreen operation. Touchscreen operations include touch, swipe, and drag.

• Wallpaper: You can select between five preset wallpapers (backgrounds), or you can upload a custom image via a USB thumbdrive for the head unit’s wallpaper (background).
• Illumination: You can manually adjust the capacitive touchscreen monitor’s brightness for day and nighttime viewing. You can also setup the unit to have the display dim when you turn your motorcycle’s lights on and then brighten when the lights are turned off.
• Vehicle Information: Just above the 7″ capacitive touchscreen is a secondary vehicle information screen that displays and indicates compass direction (N/S/E/W), turn signals, oil pressure, and running lights. The 7-wire white connector attached to the rear chassis of the radio must be plugged into motorcycle’s factory signal plug.

Touch-Sensitive Buttons: In addition to the 7″ capacitive touchscreen, the HDHU.9813SG offers a total of six touch-sensitive buttons (three on either side of the touchscreen) for operation of commonly used functions – such as Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Launch, Voice Recognition (for CarPlay or Android Auto), Power/Mute, Home/Menu, and Volume Up/Down. The buttons’ illumination can be set to White, Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, Green, Light Green, Custom (Off), or Auto (On). The Custom (Off) mode allows you to create your own illumination color, while the Auto (On) setting cycles through all available color presets.

Handlebar Controls: The HDHU.9813SG allows you to retain your motorcycle’s factory OEM handlebar controls. Supported handlebar control functions include Source Selection, Station Preset Selection, Volume Up/Down, Mute, Previous/Next Track, Fast Forward/Rewind, and Voice Recognition.
