These issues are something we hear ALL the time at Volunteer Audio, so we have partnered with Hertz to give you a sound experience you will be blown away with!
The Volunteer Audio Stage 2 amplifier and speaker system includes the plug & play amplifier, the Soundstream HDHU.14si radio, and 1 set of Hertz SX165NEO 6.5″ speakers to mount into your front fairing. This combination is a perfect match for the environment of your Harley Davidson. The amplifier is a compact amplifier that is IP64 rated so you do not have to worry about moisture, these Hertz speakers also have weather-resistant cones that will stand up to any moisture that comes their way. The Soundstream Reserve HDHU.14si radio is IPx6 marine certified just like the factory Harley radio!! So you no longer have to worry about getting caught in the rain. It is a complete plug and play unit absolutely no hardwiring required. You will reuse your factory bolts so make sure to keep them.
When we send out this Stage 2 package, the amplifier is pre-wired to plug into your factory radio and keep your factory speaker wiring intact so it can be used with the Hertz speakers we send. We have the amp gains already set to the maximum setting for loudness WITHOUT distortion of the speakers. We do not want any trouble with blown speakers you’ve had enough of that already, so our goal is to get the most sound out of the speakers clearly. Once you plug into the radio the power and ground wires that are attached to the amp will have to be ran to the battery and connected.
