Volunteer Audio Return & Warranty Policy
 
At Volunteer Audio, our goal is simple:
If you buy from us, you will never be stuck with a product that doesn’t work.
 
We stand behind everything we sell and handle all returns and warranty support directly through our shop.
 
 
1. Return Window (Strictly 60 Days)
 
All returns — for any reason — must be initiated within 60 days of the original purchase date.
 
No returns are accepted after 60 days.
After 60 days, all issues are handled strictly as warranty claims.
 
 
2. RMA Required for All Returns & Warranties
 
All returns and warranty claims require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) before anything is shipped back.
 
To obtain an RMA:
 
Call: 1-844-30-AUDIO
Select Extension 2 (Tech Support)
 
Our tech team will create the RMA and document:
    •    Customer information
    •    Product and issue
    •    Return vs warranty status
 
This ensures your package is processed quickly and prevents delays caused by unidentified returns.
 
Any package received without an RMA may be refused or delayed.
 
 
3. Defective or Failed Products (Within 60 Days)
 
If your product is defective or fails within the first 60 days:
    •    We will exchange the product.
    •    We will cover shipping both ways.
    •    There is no cost to you.
 
You will never be out money for a defective product.
 
 
4. Changed Mind / Non-Defective Returns (Within 60 Days Only)
 
If you choose to return a product that is not defective, within 60 days:
 
Opened or Used Items
    •    Subject to a restocking fee.
    •    The original shipping cost paid by Volunteer Audio will be deducted.
    •    Return shipping is paid by the customer.
 
New, Unopened, Never Installed Items
    •    No restocking fee.
    •    The original shipping cost paid by Volunteer Audio will be deducted.
    •    Return shipping is paid by the customer.
 
Items must be in resalable condition with all original contents.
 
 
5. Store Credit & Exchanges
 
In some cases, if a customer chooses to:
    •    Receive store credit, or
    •    Exchange for another product
 
Volunteer Audio may, at our discretion:
    •    Waive restocking fees, and/or
    •    Credit the full purchase amount
 
This allows us to take care of customers while keeping inventory in our ecosystem.
 
 
6. Warranty Support (After 60 Days)
 
From day 61 through the end of the manufacturer’s warranty:
    •    No returns, refunds, or exchanges are offered.
    •    Customer is responsible for shipping both ways:
    •    Shipping to Volunteer Audio
    •    Shipping back to themselves
    •    We handle all warranty processing, repair, or replacement directly.
 
You never deal with the manufacturer — we do it for you.
 
 
7. Water Damage & Weatherproof Products
 
Most amplifiers and speakers sold by Volunteer Audio are designed and rated for outdoor use on Harley-Davidson motorcycles and are considered weatherproof.
 
For these weatherproof products:
    •    Normal exposure to rain, washing, and riding conditions does not void warranty.
 
For non-weatherproof products only:
    •    Water damage is not covered under warranty.
 
Only products that are clearly labeled as non-weatherproof are subject to water damage exclusions.
 
 
8. Important Notes
    •    RMA is required for all returns and warranties.
    •    Items sent without an RMA may be refused or delayed.
    •    Items must include all original parts and accessories.
    •    Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or electrical abuse is not covered.
    •    Custom-built harnesses, DSP tunes, and special-order items are non-returnable unless defective.
