American Hard Bag Modular Bass System
Available with Your Choice of Hertz® or Velocity® 10-Inch Subwoofers
More than a subwoofer. A complete bass system engineered specifically for the 2023.5+ Harley-Davidson Touring platform.
Experience the bass your Harley has been missing without permanently giving up the saddlebag storage you depend on.
The American Hard Bag Modular Bass System is engineered specifically for 2023.5 and newer Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycles, combining precision roto-molded enclosures with your choice of premium 10-inch subwoofers and integrated 8-inch passive radiators.
Unlike traditional saddlebag subwoofer systems that rely on the entire saddlebag as the acoustic enclosure, each American Hard Bag enclosure is completely self-contained. This innovative design delivers deeper, cleaner bass while allowing your saddlebag lid speakers to perform without being affected by unwanted air pressure inside the saddlebag.
The result is a system that sounds better, installs cleaner, preserves your motorcycle’s handling characteristics, and gives you the flexibility to reclaim your storage space whenever your ride requires it.
A Modular Bass System Designed Around the Way You Ride
One of the biggest compromises with most Harley-Davidson saddlebag subwoofer systems is the permanent loss of valuable storage space.
The American Hard Bag Modular Bass System eliminates that compromise.
Each enclosure securely mounts inside your factory saddlebag using the original mounting locations while remaining completely removable. Whether you’re commuting, heading out for a weekend ride, or packing for a cross-country adventure, your motorcycle can be configured in just minutes.
Three Ways to Ride:
Maximum Bass
Install both enclosures and experience the full performance of a true dual-subwoofer system.
Maximum Flexibility
Need room in one saddlebag?
Simply remove one enclosure while leaving the other installed. You’ll retain impressive bass performance while regaining the full storage capacity of the opposite saddlebag.
Maximum Storage
Planning a long trip?
Remove both enclosures and restore the full storage capacity of both factory saddlebags.
When you’re ready for incredible sound again, simply reinstall the enclosures and reconnect the included plug-and-play wiring harness.
Bass when you want it. Storage when you need it.
Note: This system installs inside your existing factory Harley-Davidson saddlebags. Saddlebags are required and are not included.
A Better Way to Build Bass
Traditional Harley-Davidson saddlebag subwoofer systems often rely on the entire saddlebag as the acoustic enclosure.
That means every bass note creates pressure throughout the saddlebag, forcing your lid speakers to work against constantly changing air pressure. Many systems require additional baffles or isolation panels behind the lid speakers simply to maintain proper performance.
The American Hard Bag system was engineered differently.
Each enclosure houses a dedicated 10-inch subwoofer paired with an 8-inch passive radiator inside its own precision-engineered roto-molded enclosure.
Because the enclosure is completely self-contained, low-frequency energy remains inside the enclosure not inside your saddlebag.
- The benefits are substantial.
- Saddlebag lid speakers perform naturally without unwanted pressure loading.
- No additional baffles or isolation panels are required behind your lid speakers.
- The passive radiator delivers deeper bass and greater efficiency than traditional compact sealed designs.
- Midbass and sub-bass work together instead of competing against one another.
- Every speaker on the motorcycle performs as part of one balanced audio system.
- The result is deeper bass, greater clarity, and a more natural listening experience.
Engineered for Performance Without Compromising Your Ride
Adding bass to a Harley-Davidson shouldn’t come at the expense of the motorcycle’s handling, balance, or touring capability.
From the very beginning, the American Hard Bag Modular Bass System was engineered with weight, efficiency, and real-world usability as primary design goals.
Each fully assembled enclosure weighs approximately 17 pounds, keeping the system within Harley-Davidson’s recommended saddlebag load capacity. The result is exceptional bass performance while preserving the balanced handling characteristics riders expect from their motorcycle.
Rather than relying on oversized amplifiers and excessive power to create bass, this system has been engineered for efficiency. The combination of the precision enclosure, optimized passive radiator, and carefully matched subwoofer produces impressive output while making exceptional use of every watt available from your amplifier.
Designed to Deliver:
- Approximately 17.8 pounds per enclosure
- Designed within Harley-Davidson’s recommended saddlebag load limits
- Preserves the motorcycle’s natural handling characteristics
- Outstanding bass output without requiring excessive amplifier power
- Efficient acoustic design that maximizes every watt
Because the best motorcycle audio upgrade shouldn’t make your motorcycle feel like a compromise.
