July 2026 Firmware Update Improvements
- The latest WHD14+ with UNLOC firmware update:
- Updates Apple CarPlay & Android Auto protocols
- Improves FM tuning and seek sensitivity
- Adds a second Custom EQ
- Corrects SiriusXM equalization
- Corrects an issue with album artwork and metadata displayed on the Home screen’s Now Playing section
- Removes the confirmation request to reopen CarPlay or Android Auto after powering down from alternate mode
DO NOT PERFORM THIS UPDATE TO YOUR WHD-14 IF YOU HAVE NOT YET INSTALLED THE WHD.UNLOC KIT.
Updating a WHD-14 with this UNLOC update without having installed the original UNLOC firmware first WILL CORRUPT THE CPU.

THIS UPDATE IS ONLY FOR THE SOUNDSTREAM RESERVE WHD14+ HEAD UNIT with WHD.UNLOC FOR 2014–2023 HARLEY-DAVIDSON MODELS.
Do NOT attempt to install this firmware on another SoundStream radio or head unit.
Installing incorrect firmware can corrupt the radio’s GPU and “brick” the head unit, potentially making it unusable. Damage caused by installing firmware on an incompatible head unit is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Please verify that you have a SoundStream Reserve WHD14+ with UNLOC for 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson models before performing the update.
